Breaking Stories is a theatre company made of nine females. Our aim is in the title; to break the stories the media report about current affairs and give a voice to the voiceless.

Breaking Stories Theatre brings to you a staged performance of The Bogus Woman by Kay Adshead. The play concentrates on the controversial topic of immigration. After publishing something critical of her country’s regime, a woman writer from an ambiguous country flees to England to escape torture and death. Seeking a place of refuge and safety, she finds herself once more a prisoner and a victim of racial and sexual abuse.
